per George Streater:

..."A few years later N. S. Sorenson, Hoquiam blacksmith, bought the Glover place and moved his family in, his wife and one son, Ivar. Sorenson's blacksmith shop was in the old building next to Vean Gregg's present location"....

..."I looked up N. S. Sorenson at the blacksmith shop. He got me a job that day splitting and putting into the shed two loads of wood for Mr. Carlson, superintendent of the basket factory near the E. K. Wood mill. For that job I got 85 cents and he gave me a steady job in the factory at 85 cents a day. I boarded with Sorenson at $2.50 a week."...

..."I left with Sorenson to move his family to the Queets. He had an old blue cow and a horse. Mrs. Sorenson and the boy went by boat, the Market Boy, run by Captain Thompson, to New London. So we started with the cow and horse by way of Grays Harbor City and over the trail to New London. It took us all day. From there we put a big pack on the cow, and Mrs. Sorenson and the boy on the horse."...
